It seems that everyone in the city followed the same fate as the people back at the base.\r\n\r\nAm I really the only one alive? How come am I not affected by whatever happened to everyone else? So this is it, there is nothing I can do, the world as I know it has ended. But at least I stopped it from getting any worse by deactivating that portal, whatever was on the other side, it should never step on this world.\r\n\r\nThis just leaves me wondering, what now? I somehow made it out of this madness alive, I need to find out what the hell happened.\n\nThere is a military research facility right past the capital where I can report, but what will I say when I get there? The whole base got run over by some mutant freaks? Will they believe me? Probably not, but what else can I do? I at least need to see if this madness is happening anywhere else. \n\nThere is going to be a while until I reach it tough, enough time to process and figure out how to explain everything that has happened at Area 66.=この狂気からどうにか生きて抜け出した。
Caution=注意
Please be cautious when around red fuel barrels, the material is durable enough to withstand blunt damage but if anything pierces them it can lead to an explosion.\r\n\r\nSo DO NOT fire any guns near them, DO NOT play around with sharp objects near them , DO NOT smoke near them and STOP playing cards on them, use a table for crying out loud.\r=赤い燃料樽の近くでは注意すること。

First day=初日
Well, this was my first day after getting assigned at this base, so far it is not too bad; there are a lot of security checks and the place is a bit confusing to navigate but colleagues say I'm gonna get used to it.\n\n\nThis level of the facility is not very clean due to the janitor closet having a water leak, so that room got boarded up. The routine here is pretty simple: wake up in the morning, take a shower, get the weapons from the armory, go through the checkpoint and go to the surface with the elevators, and patrol the place.\n=この基地に配属されて初日だった。

No privacy=
Damn, you cannot have any kind of privacy here, we have to shower together, change clothes together. I wonder what's next, taking shits together?\n\n\nThe vent grid is quite loose in the man's bathroom; it can be easily broken and it leads into the girl's bathroom so you can easily spy on them. At least there's one good thing coming out of the lack of privacy.\n=まったく、ここにはプライバシーなんてものがない。

Pointless security=
The security here is too much. I mean, I understand we are a military base and all but security checkpoints, daily checks, keycards, it's absurd, this is a military base, not an airport. All this security is a waste of resources.\n\n\nAt least the work is easy, just ask for the ID, and open the checkpoint door if everything is alright, but it does get boring after a while.\n=ここの警備はやりすぎだ。

Dying note=
I dont think I'm gonna make it, I'm gonna write this note in case someone finds it, the whole world went crazy overnight, every human and animal is, like, mutating. There is no escape; you either die or become one of them.\n\n\nThe power core shut down so a lot of hatches and exits are closed. I managed to seal this storage hatch. I would rather die than mutate.\n=もう助からないと思う。

Facility power=
All the power in the facility comes from the power core, but in case of a shutdown we have special fuses to use so we can power certain parts of the facility that the backup generators don't reach.\r\n\r\nThey usually stay in the breaker rooms in a slot, they are quite safe to pick up and you can use them in any empty fuze slot you can find.\r=施設の電力はすべてパワーコアから供給されているが、停止時に備えて特殊なヒューズがあり、予備発電機の届かない区画に電力を供給できる。

How the core works=
To turn on the core the water pump and power transistors must be enabled first, after the core turns on all the output goes into the power control floor and from there it gets diverted to the entire base.\r\n\r\nThe core itself, to create power, boils a special kind of fuel inside its carbon center which generates power, the middle is surrounded by water to keep it cool, the water and fuel comes from the maintenance tunnels that are connected to the storage area that leads directly to the surface.\r=コアを起動するには、まず給水ポンプと電力トランジスタを有効にする必要がある。

Power core floors=
The power core is located at the bottom of the entire base, the core room is surrounded by 3 different floors, the top floor connects to the rest of the base and has a checkpoint for personnel that want to enter, the middle floor is where the power coming from the core gets diverted towards the power control floor and where cooling is controlled, and finally the bottom floor is where the power control room is located and the elevator towards the maintenance tunnels.\r=パワーコアは基地全体の最下部にあり、コア室は3つの階に囲まれている。

We just received the new pistol attachments, this new modifier requires a new type of ammo and can be used to stun threats instead of injuring them, the attachment will be forwarded to the law enforcement officers after further testing by our soldiers.=新しいピストル用アタッチメントが届いた。
Journal page=
July 10th: I woke up with a slight headache today; it must be from the last night I spent with the other lieutenants. It will most likely pass later in the day, but for now, I've got to get ready for today's training session.\n\nJuly 11th: I was tasked with monitoring the maintenance tunnels this week until the lead engineer comes back from vacation. Nothing too hard, just watch over the engineers to make sure everything is going alright.\n\nJuly 12th: Today we had a small water leak at the water pumps, and we had to send 3 engineers to fix it. It seemed that a pipe burst, but they replaced it pretty fast; it wasn't too big of a deal, and I will send a janitor tomorrow to clean out the water.\n\nJuly 13th: Shit, everything suddenly went nuts, everyone turned into some kind of mutant, I managed to hide next to the water pumps, it seems that the mutation also rotted their brain cells, morons don't know how to crouch, but I don't think I'm going to make it out; I'm out of ammo, and there are dozens of them, and to make things even better, one of them managed to shoot me. I think this is it.
The tunnels=
The maintenance tunnels are the deepest floor in this facility. They're used to fuel the power core and distribute water and electricity from the generators throughout the base.\n\n The center of them is called the intersection and connects all the different areas of the tunnels, like the fuel and water pumps, backup generators, storage areas, etc.=整備トンネルはこの施設の最深階だ。
Tunnel exits=
There are only two ways to get in or out of the maintenance tunnels: the first and most used one is using the elevator to get to the power core, and the second one is through the storage area, which is also directly connected to the surface but that requires a higher clearance keycard.=整備トンネルへの出入り口は2つしかない。
We use the catwalks to supervise the equipment being stored and make sure everything is going well and is placed properly, besides that the catwalks are also connected to another surface elevator as a secondary exit.=キャットウォークは保管中の装備を監督し、すべてが順調で正しく配置されているか確認するために使う。
The storage area=
The storage area has direct access to the surface through the roads used by the trucks to transport and deliver military equipment, there are also 2 other exits for the personnel on the storage's 2nd floor.\n\n\nHere we store all kinds of equipment, from computers and unpowered fuzes to ammo and weapon crates, most of this equipment comes from the research facility from the other side of the county.=保管区画は、軍事装備を輸送・配送するトラックが使う道路を通じて地上に直結している。
Helicopter delivery=
We expect a new shipment tonight coming with the helicopter, we will need 4 people to go to the helicopter pad on top of the next building to wait for the helicopter, use the emergency staircase to get there faster.=今夜ヘリで新しい荷物が届く予定だ。
Summer school=
Summer school sucks, its summer we should't do anymore unecesary work then we do the entire school year but my parents had to sign me up for this, its for my education they say, well fuck that, I just want too get out of here and enjoy summer, but all I get too do is waste my life here writing on papers, instead of having fun in the park right next to the school.\r=サマースクールは最悪だ。

Noise complaint=
This construction zone is unbearable, not only there is noise coming out from there 24/7 but all the dust is intoxicating, I have to keep my windows shut all the time for the dust to not come in my house, but by doing that I am basically cooking myself inside the house with these temperatures.=この工事現場は耐えられない。

Weird project=
I have been hearing some weird stuff about a new project from some soldiers talking. From the sounds of it, it seems to be some kind of robotic soldier, they must be afraid they're going to lose their job to that thing.=兵士たちの話から、新しいプロジェクトについて妙な噂を聞いた。
Experimental weapon=
I hear they are working on a new experimental weapon in the North Wing of the Alpha Labs. It is supposed to be pretty powerful, I also hear they are working on some other stuff that doesn't sound very ethical. But I know better than stuffing my nose where it doesn't belong.=アルファ研究棟の北棟で新しい実験兵器を開発しているらしい。

How fuses work=ヒューズの仕組み
These fuses work in a similar way to our power cores, they boil a special fuel when placed in a fuse slot and generate energy, but that fuel is limited so it only lasts a few weeks. \r\n\r\nWhen the fuses are depleted we gather and refill them, that way we don't have to produce new fuses to replace those and save on manufacturing costs.\r\n=これらのヒューズはパワーコアと似た仕組みで動く。

The Ray Gun=
Our newest creation, the Ray Gun. It's capable of shooting a powerful beam that can pierce through enemies. Using similar technology as our power cores and fuses the ammunition for this weapon is very efficient and easy to manufacture. We couldn't achieve this level of tech without their help.\r\n\r\nThe plans are to create new weapons based on this type of technology but until then there is some more testing to be done. \r\n\r\nAt least now we have some use for the first experiments kept in the containment zone.\r\n=我々の最新作、レイガン。

Experiment 001=実験001
The first batch of mutagen experiments done in the Upper Zone.\n\n\nThe patient was able to regenerate its tissue right after the mutagen dosage, however that regenerative ability only lasts for the duration of the mutation and disappears afterwards, and is also not able to regenerate any kind of hair.\n\n\nThe mutation seems to increase the arm and leg length of the patient as well as agility, however it doesn't seem that the patient has any kind of reasonable thinking and is naturally very aggressive.\n\n\nThe experiment will be contained until further notice.=上層区域で行われた変異原実験の第一段階。
Experiment 002=実験002
The second batch of mutagen experiments.\n\n\nThis experiment was designed to test how the mutagen affects certain pieces of the human body. At first we tried to apply the mutagen on a bunch of organs and limbs which caused the tissue to melt and grow like fungus that emits spores, but when we applied the mutagen on a human brain it seemed to have some activity but then it immediately exploded.\n\n\nWe decided to try and incorporate circuitry into the experiments and we designed a mine using the brain and mutagen. When in proximity to something the mutagen will automatically inject into the brain and explode.\n\n\nThe experiment will be contained until further notice.\n=変異原実験の第二段階。

Experiment 003=実験003
The third batch of mutagen experiments.\r\n\r\nAfter learning a lot from the last two batches we came to the conclusion that we can create a super soldier by combining the mutations with cybernetic parts. \r\n\r\nWe started by constructing the body, added a blade on the right arm and a gun on the left. Once the body was ready we injected the mutagen, but the body remained unresponsive. After further investigating we found that the patient did have brain activity but due to the heavy modifications of the body it wasn't able to do anything, so we created a program and uploaded it in the cybernetic part of the body which allowed us to control the mutant,\r\n\r\nThe experiment was a success.\r\n=変異原実験の第三段階。

Cave under the base=
So apparently there is a cave under the entire base and the entrance is through the checkpoint. Only the highest ranking personnel are allowed to go through there, I wonder what's down there.=どうやら基地全体の地下に洞窟があって、入口は検問所を通った先にあるらしい。
Mutagenesis reanimation=
With help from our friends we created a mutagen solution that can help us reanimate dead bodies and use them as weapons.\r\n\r\nWe began these experiments on soldier corpses from past wars and ended up with fascinating results. We decided to not use the mutagen on any kind of living beings as it would be inhumane and the results unpredictable.\r\n\r\nHowever, creating super soldiers that we can control and use for tasks that a normal soldier may not be able to handle will be very beneficial.\r=友人たちの助けを借りて、死体を蘇らせて兵器として使える変異原溶液を作り出した。

Sick personnel=
There has been a big wave of sick personnel in the infirmary lately. Whatever experiment they are doing in that operating room it's making a lot of people sick. I tried to file a complaint to the higher ups but they seem to just ignore me.=最近、医務室に病人が押し寄せている。
Friends beyond=
We finally managed to power on the portal after all these years, using some new special fuses we developed. We immediately tried to send a few people through it and explore the other side but no one ever came back.\n\nAfter a while we started receiving signals coming from the portal, it seems like someone is trying to communicate with us, maybe the people we sent in? But no, there seemed to be some other kind of beings reaching out to us.\n\nWe figured that the signals they were sending were radio signals, we started communicating, we found out they are beings from another dimension, we taught them about our culture, they taught us about theirs, we asked them what happened to the people we send in there, they said they were not able to survive the atmosphere from there as they are not able to survive ours. They started helping us achieve technological advancements, saying they are our friends, as long as we keep the portal open they will continue to help us.=長年の末、我々が開発した新しい特殊ヒューズを使って、ついにポータルを起動できた。

We decided to start building a base and try our new ideas.\n\n- Signed Dr. Smith=11月11日:\n史上最大の発見だ。
Deadshot Demo=Deadshot デモ
In July 2023 the first demo of Deadshot was released on Steam containing the entirety of Chapter 1.\n\nThe reception was really good, the demo got over 600 downloads and the game got over 500 wishlists over the course of a year. This may not be much in the grand scheme of things but this did better than any of my previous games combined and I was really happy.\n\nSince then I improved the lighting, all chapter 1 levels and weapon models were remade among a ton of other improvements and all the changes were published in a new demo that was released in August 2024 to better reflect how the game is now.\n=2023年7月、チャプター1の全体を収録した Deadshot の最初のデモが Steam でリリースされた。

The first public video preview of Deadshot published in January 2023, you can interact with the link to see it.\n\nThis was about 4 months after I started development, I had the first level done and just started on the 2nd one. The old enemies and ragdolls were all modeled by me and later replaced with better models which you can see in the game now, done by someone that actually knows what they are doing.=2023年1月に公開された Deadshot の最初の公開プレビュー動画。
Level Remakes=
Like I mentioned, all Chapter 1 from the old demo were remade. The main reason for the remakes was to improve gameplay and other technical reasons.\r\n\r\nWhile most levels remained the same but better structured the first 3 were slightly changed.\r\n\r\nOn the first level the armory where you get the pistol was made bigger and a vent leading to an extra room was added, an intersection was added between the barracks as well. You can see it on the board to the left.\r\n\r\nOn the second level there was an extra room put where the player starts to teach him how fuses work before getting into the fuse puzzle.\r\n\r\nThe third level had the biggest change with half the bottom floor being completely remade in structure. There was a huge hallway stretching half the level with the core control room in the middle.\r=前に述べたとおり、旧デモのチャプター1はすべて作り直した。

Old Deadshot=旧 Deadshot
Deadshot was actually my first ever serious game project, started back in May 2020.\r\n\r\nHowever, Deadshot is not the same project as the Deadshot you are playing now. You see I wasn't experienced enough in game development back then to finish the project, I spent half a year on it and was making very little progress, so I decided to stop development on it.\r\n\r\nBut the time spent on the old Deadshot wasn't wasted, I learned a lot from working on it and applied all my knowledge into the next projects.\r\n\r\nAfter 2 years and 3 published games, I was confident I had the experience to try and make Deadshot again. So I gave it another shot, started from scratch, and after 2 years of development, it was done.\r=Deadshot

Scrapped Area=
Originally you would have gone inside the hospital building but this was eventually scrapped because it was just a stretch of hallways and repetitive rooms. So it was removed in favor of going on its roof. Which allowed for this easter egg room to exist :)\r=当初は病院の建物の中に入る予定だったが、廊下と似たような部屋が続くだけだったので最終的にボツになった。

Scrapped Weapons=
There were 2 scrapped weapons from the game.\r\n\r\nFirst was the Grapple Gun. Originally I ment for the player to be able to grapple enemies and anything on the map, but I could not make it function properly and it would have been a pain to cover every corner with invisible walls so players wouldn't grapple out of bounds, it was also going to be completely useless and restricted in indoor levels. The grapple gun was going to be found in the 2nd chapter.\r\n\r\nThe 2nd scrapped weapon was the Rocket Launcher Attachment. It was going to shoot sticky mines that would trigger when an enemy was in proximity. This was meant for the player to set up some mines before a big fight and bait the enemies into a trap. The reason it got scrapped was due to not fitting with the game's playstyle, since most people would just use it as a grenade launcher while fighting. So I added the Explosive Barrels as a replacement which fit way better.\r=ボツになった武器が2つある。

With help from our friends we created a mutagen solution that can help us reanimate dead bodies and use them as weapons.\r\n\r\nWe began these experiments on soldier corpses from past wars and ended up with fascinating results. We decided to not use the mutagen on any kind of living beings as it would be inhumane and the results unpredictable.\r\n\r\nHowever, creating super soldiers that we can control and use for tasks that a normal soldier may not be able to handle will be very beneficial.=友人たちの助けを借りて、死体を蘇らせて兵器として使える変異原溶液を作り出した。
November 11th : \r\nThis is our biggest find ever. A big portal of unknown origin, deep inside a cave. We started to research it immediately.\r\n\r\nNovember 12th:\r\nWe tried to disassemble it to see what makes it tick, but to no success, the material is unknown and seems to be indestructible.\r\n\r\nNovember 13th:\r\nWe established a camp around the portal, this should make researching the portal easier then coming back and forth to this cave.\r\n\r\nNovember 16th:\r\nWe kinda hit a roadblock, everyone is starting to run out of ideas on what to do about the portal, we cannot turn it on, we cannot disassemble it, we can't even relocate it, we tried everything we could, maybe it is time to pack up and leave.\r\n\r\nNovember 17th:\r\nMy colleagues and I started to have weird dreams at night, they almost seemed like instructions on what to do. We decided to start building a base and try our new ideas.\r\n\r\n- Signed Dr. Smith=11月11日:\n史上最大の発見だ。
There was a huge hallway stretching half the level with the core control room in the middle.=前に述べたとおり、旧デモのチャプター1はすべて作り直した。
So I gave it another shot, started from scratch, and after 2 years of development, it was done.=Deadshot
So I added the Explosive Barrels as a replacement which fit way better.=ボツになった武器が2つある。
It seems that everyone in the city followed the same fate as the people back at the base.\r\n\r\nAm I really the only one alive? How come am I not affected by whatever happened to everyone else? How did everything go to hell overnight? I have so many questions.\r\n\r\nMy only goal now is to get to the research facility and see if there is anything there that can help figuring out this mutant apocalypse, maybe the researchers there foresaw this was going to happen and started working on a cure. But I think I'm getting too hopeful.=街の人間もみんな、基地の連中と同じ運命をたどったようだ。
So this is it, there is nothing I can do, the world as I know it has ended. But at least I stopped it from getting any worse by deactivating that portal, whatever was on the other side, it should never step on this world.\r\n\r\nThis just leaves me wondering, what now? All I can do now is move on. But I can't help wondering, why am I the only one who wasn't affected? Every single person everywhere I went was either dead or mutated. But I am fine....I think.\r\n\r\nPerhaps I will never find out. All I can do now is shoot the dead and survive.=これで終わりだ。
I somehow made it out of this madness alive, I need to find out what the hell happened.\r\n\r\nThere is a military research facility right past the capital where I can report, but what will I say when I get there? The whole base got run over by some mutant freaks? Will they believe me? Probably not, but what else can I do? I at least need to see if this madness is happening anywhere else. \r\n\r\nThere is going to be a while until I reach it tough, enough time to process and figure out how to explain everything that has happened at Area 66.=この狂気からどうにか生きて抜け出した。
